iPad Mini 4 Leak Tips Ultra-Slim Design

Rumor has it that Apple's fourth-genration  iPad mini is on its way, and if new leaked images are any indication, it could be the slimmest model yeOnLeaks just posted what it claims are new computer-aided design (CAD) images of the so-called iPad mini 4, giving us a sneak peek at what Apple may unveil later this year. If the images are to be believed, the new iPad mini could measure in at just 6.1 mm thick, putting it on par with the iPad Air 2£325.00 at Amazon. That would be a pretty substantial slim-down, considering the current third-gen iPad mini (above) is 7.5mm thick.

The new images come after OnLeaks in April gave us a first look at the iPad mini 4 housing. Besides a slimmer frame, the next iPad mini is expected to feature an A8 processor, 2GB of RAM, and an 8-megapixel iSight Camera, according to Cult of Mac.All of this would bring it in line with the iPad Air 2.

As for when we can expect the new iPad, we'll just have to wait and see. Rumors circulated over the weekend that Apple is targeting the week of Sept. 7 for its fall iPhone event, possibly Sept. 9, which is the same date as last year's fall event. 

You can expect Apple to showcase a brand-new iPhone that will be an iterative upgrade to its iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. If previous years are any indication, however, we'll probably have to wait until October for new iPads.
